I grew up in a Christian home in Jackson County, a small town in southern Ohio. I was a tomboy and spent a lot of my youth in the outdoors with my dad and brother, Seth. I have fond memories of going fishing, hunting, trapping, mushroom, and ginseng hunting with my dad. I was a member of 4H shooting sports club for 6 years, starting at age 8, which led into my interest of hunting at the age of 14. My dad took me on my first hunt turkey hunting and I have been hooked since! My dad and I have had many successful turkey hunts since then. My brother got me interested in deer hunting. Bow hunting with a compound bow by is by far my favorite way to hunt whitetail.
While in college I competed in the Miss Ohio USA pageant. In 2015, I won Miss Ohio USA and I had the honor of competing at Miss USA when the organization was still owned by Donald Trump. My platform was encouraging women and the youth to get involved with hunting and to enjoy the great outdoors. I was an archery instructor for the 4H camp in Jackson, Ohio and also spoke at multiple sportsman banquets during my reign.
The outdoors is my passion and some day I would love to make it a full time career. I went to college for radiologic technology and also have my Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management. I have been working as a radiologic technologist since 2010. Currently I work full time at an urgent care. I work hard to play hard in the outdoors!
My husband Cody and I have been married since 2017 and live in a beautiful area in southern Ohio called Hocking Hills. The area is known for hiking, caves, kayaking, ATV trails and other outdoor adventures. Cody is an avid outdoorsman as well and has been hunting since he could hold up a gun. When we started dating he had never dated a girl that hunted and was hesitant to take a woman hunting. During our first hunt together, I shot a turkey, and he knew he could take me seriously in the woods. We have been hunting buddies ever since. We someday plan to have children and raise them with the same hard working principles and self survival skills that we were taught in the outdoors. We have recently started to big game hunt out west and love the challenge of it!
